Distribucija, ekologija i konzervacija zmija na području istočne Hercegovine
Područje istočne Hercegovine se odlikuje najvećim diverzitetom zmija na teritoriji Republike Srpske (13 vrsta zmija), a dvije endemične vrste: balkanski smuk (Hierophis gemonensis) i četveroprugi smuk (Elaphe quatrolineata) su lokalno najčešće zmije ovog područja. Natura 2000 vrste, kartiranje staništa i etnobotanička istraživanja Nevesinjskog polja
Nevesinjsko polje, kao kraško polje, predstavlja jedan od centara endemizma flore i faune Republike Srpske. Karakteristično je po rijetkim i ugroženim staništima i vrstama. Tradicionalna upotreba biljaka je je takođe još uvijek prisutna među ljudima koji žive na području polja.
