Learning objectives

The goal of the course is for students to become familiar with the basic terms and methods of applying statistical methods and concepts in the processing and analysis of data from geodetic measurements.

Learning outcomes

The student will be able to explain the basic concepts of mathematical probability and statistics, successfully apply parametric and non-parametric test hypotheses when analyzing the quality of geodetic measurements, determine function errors of known arguments, and optimize the accuracy of arguments when is know the function error, successfully use existing computer tools to solve basic statistical problems (Excel, Matlab, Rstudio).
