Getting to know the basic terms of family law, matrimonial law, parent-child relations, adoption, guardianship and family accommodation.
Knowledge of sources and basic institutes of family law, application of material law to the factual situation, correct interpretation of relevant regulations, solving problem situations.
1. Basic concepts of Family Law. Sources and characteristics of family law.
2. Married and extramarital family. Family considering types of kinship. Status family law.
3. Basic terms about marriage and Matrimonial Law.
4. Conclusion of marriage (conditions of validity, marital impediments, marriage bans and form of marriage).
5. Personal rights and duties of spouses. Personal property rights and duties of spouses.
6. Property relations between spouses and extramarital partners.
7. Termination of marriage (divorce, annulment, death and declaration of the missing spouse as deceased).
8. Concept and basic features of parental relationship. Marital status and change of marital status of the child.
9. Duties and rights of parents according to the personality of the child.
10. Maintenance of children and other relatives.
11. Exercise of parental rights and changes in the exercise of parental rights.
12. Protection of children without parental care. Feeding. Family placement of the child.
13. Adoption. Establishment and effects of (complete and incomplete) adoption. Termination of (complete and incomplete) adoption.
14. Basic concepts of guardianship. Organization of the guardianship service. Old man.
15. Types of guardianship (over minors, persons deprived of legal capacity). Forms of guardianship for special cases

Pre-exam obligations:
Class attendance (up to 5 points), I colloquium (up to 20 points), II colloquium (up to 20 points) and seminar paper (up to 5 points).

Lectures, exercises (resolving hypothetical factual situations, case analysis, case law analysis, case simulation), consultations, self-study and preparation of seminar papers.
