Concentration methods
passed exam from Mineral Resources Processing
passed exam from Mineral Resources Processing
Introducing students to the theoretical and practical knowledge of the preparatory and auxiliary processes of preparation of mineral raw materials, especially during the crushing and drainage of products. The goal is for students to gain the ability to participate in the management of the processes they study within this course.
The student will be able to: quickly and easily upgrade the acquired knowledge; ability of analysis and synthesis; ability to plan and organize; basis for good oral and written communication; ability to obtain and analyze information; ability to solve problems and make decisions; detailed knowledge and understanding of technological processes of mineral raw materials preparation with special emphasis on concentration methods; development of habits for permanent information, monitoring and application of innovations in the profession; development of communication skills with the immediate work environment; development of professional ethics, responsibility and accuracy in work; the idea of economical use of natural resources is inherently woven, in accordance with the principles of sustainable development.
Basic processes. Introduction (concept of concentration, separation, purification). Theoretical bases of concentration, physical fields and physical quantities that enable mineral separation. Magnetic concentration: magnetic properties of minerals. . Electrification of mineral grains.
