Learning objectives

The goal is for students to understand the importance of interpreting an architectural project and its representation in different materials that will contribute to a better presentation of their project. The seminar offers interpretations of the meaning and significance of models in architecture thorough various thematic units, and wide range of views on architectural models and designer's experience.

Learning outcomes

The student will be able to understand, recognize and use the properties of the model in architecture, and apply it through physical architectural models.

Course contents

Representation of architectural model, design process and model, model image, model in architectural education, Introduction and definition of basic concepts: modeling, types of models, model application, computer 3D models. Examples of computer models and models derived in different materials. Process of making models and use of material. Examples of models. Practical, individual work on architectural model.
