The aim of the course is understanding the basic terms from probability and statistics and their application in professional subjects.
Students are expected to master basic concepts in the probability theory as well as basic concepts
mathematical statistics and some important statistical tests that will later serve them as in
professional subjects as well as in the practice.
Basic concepts of probability theory. Conditional probability. Bayesian formula. Random variables. The mathematical expectation of random variable and variance. The most important random variable distributions. Normal distribution of random variable. Boundary theorems
probability theories. Inequality of Markov and Chebyshev. Basic concepts of mathematical statistics. Distribution parameter estimates. Numerical estimations. Interval estimations of distribution parameters. Testing of statistical hypotheses. Parametric tests. Variance analysis. Hi square test.
