Learning objectives

Study of structure and function of plant cells and tissues

Learning outcomes

Students will gain knowledge about the histological structure of plants that will be the foundation for understanding the subject Morphology of plants

Course contents

Theoretical teaching: Meristem tissues and their classification. Permanent tissues (epidermal tissues, mechanical tissues, tissues of absorption, vascular tissues, secretory and excretory tissues, photosynthetic tissue, storage tissue, ventilation tissue). The anatomical structure of vegetative organs of plants: root, stem, and leaf. The anatomical structure of reproductive organs of plants: flower, fruit, and seed.
Practical teaching: Making native microscopic slides. Learning the anatomical structure of plants on natural samples.
