Course contents

MDistribution of materials. Production of paper, cardboard, cardboard: obtaining raw materials, preparation of paper pulp, paper making, classification of paper and cardboard and testing methods. Auxiliary raw materials for the production of paper, cardboard and cardboard - fillers, binders and dyes. Paper finishing - impregnation, coating and varnishing. Coloring of paper, cardboard and cardboard. The most important properties of paper, cardboard and cardboard and their testing. Printing inks: types, composition, role of components and printing properties. Color-substrate relationship and classification of graphic colors by purpose. Production and testing methods of general properties of importance for application in printing. Adhesives in the graphic industry and methods of testing their properties. Polymer materials in graphic engineering: application, design and testing of basic properties. Leather as a graphic material - skins for dressing. Materials for final graphic finishing.
